Bilan: Droople among 50 Swiss startups to invest in

Originally published in Bilan no. 5, 11–24 March 2020, page 42, in the dossier “50 startups dans lesquelles investir”.

For its 2020 dossier, Bilan selected 50 of the most promising young Swiss companies for investors. Droople appeared in the artificial intelligence category, recommended by François Randin, while raising CHF 1 million.

What Bilan highlighted

  • Smart meters installed at water points of consumption, with data sent to and analysed on a cloud management platform.
  • Information on consumption, flow, temperature and the times when water is used most.
  • Easier maintenance, useful for heating engineers and sanitary installers who monitor and optimise existing installations.
  • Anticipating when filters in water fountains or coffee machines need to be changed.
  • The ambition to analyse data directly on the device, in real time, for example to react to a leak by closing a valve.
