Laprak, Nepal: a 12 km water supply funded through Droople
Thank you to everyone who donated towards building a new water piping network in Laprak, Nepal.
“Finally, after patiently waiting over many long years, the dream of the people of Laprak has come true. They hadn’t even imagined that they would get drinking water in that challenging place near the village grounds. The water supply runs nearly 12 km from the nearest source. Through struggle and strong effort, the Ujjyalo Nepal Association team has completed the very first water supply project, made possible by donations through the Swiss cleantech startup Droople SA. Now everyone in Laprak, young and old, is thankful for the help of these two organisations.” Bhabi, Sherpa and lead of the Laprak water supply project

Ujjyalo means giving hope and bringing light into the lives of people in need. Partnering with the NGO Ujjyalo Nepal Association, Droople SA contributed funding and expertise to build a new water piping network, now completed and in use, in the village of Laprak.
100% of every donation is invested in projects run by the association, a non-governmental humanitarian relief and development agency that helps people build secure, productive and just communities throughout Nepal.
“We are proud to say that the fundraising we launched in August 2021 reached 100% of its goal in April 2022. Thank you all for making a difference in these communities’ lives and for believing in their future!” Lisa Etter, Droople Philanthropy Lead
