Droople and Wasser für Wasser partner for access to drinking water
Lucerne, Switzerland, January 3, 2022: Droople and Wasser für Wasser (WfW) announce a partnership for access to drinking water, joining forces to help provide drinking water and sanitation for all in urban development projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

To support projects that secure clean water supply and sanitation in Zambia and Mozambique, Droople donates CHF 5 from every device sold in Switzerland and in these countries. Droople devices are used to measure the benefits of the partners’ commitment to reduce their consumption of single-use bottled water. The pilot project aims to create a dashboard showing the sustainable impact in real time. It runs for up to 6 months from early 2022 to test the concept with partner companies.
What the partnership brings
- Jointly developed awareness screens give employees and customers real-time insight into water consumption, the bottled water avoided and the resulting CO2 reduction.
- WfW partner companies can measure their tap water consumption and quantify the footprint they have saved.
- As sustainability reporting grows in importance, companies can communicate their CSR strategy and results with WfW on an ongoing basis.
About Wasser für Wasser
Founded in 2012, WfW counts on the support of more than 600 partners. Companies, schools and institutions use WfW carafes to contribute to the long-term improvement of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in the poorest neighbourhoods of urban areas in Sub-Saharan Africa, where 4 out of 10 people have no access to clean drinking water, mainly because of insufficient infrastructure and distribution, lack of know-how and investment.
Together with local partner organisations, WfW has already contributed to over 20.5 km of pipelines and 43 water kiosks, helping more than 75,000 people access clean drinking water. More than 500 students have completed vocational training in the water sector.

“Droople is proud and committed to contribute to this global effort and raise awareness of access to clean water and sanitation as a fundamental human right. Together with WfW, we can make the change!” Ramzi Bouzerda, CEO & Founder, Droople
“Droople makes it possible to track tap water consumption and the environmental impact it saves in real time. A real added value for all involved!” Lior Etter, Co-founder & Managing Director, WfW
