The challenge
A large new building has many showers that sit unused for days. Stagnant water raises legionella risk, while flushing everything on a fixed schedule wastes water and energy.
What we installed
- Mono & Twin — hot and cold streams on every shower, plug & play on new or existing fittings
Alarms that did the work
- Stagnation · shower not used for too long, needs flushing
- Filter end of life · replacement based on each shower's actual use
What the data showed
Results
- Legionella risk managed with proactive stagnation alerts
- Less unnecessary flushing and optimised water and energy use
- Consumables changed on use, with an optimised inventory
- Green building strategy supporting four sustainability labels
The takeaway
Flush what needs flushing, change what needs changing: usage data makes hygiene safer and cheaper at the same time.
