Sustainable Water Consumption

Droople and Wasser für Wasser (WfW) announce the partnership for access to drinking water. Joining forces to help provide access to drinking water and sanitation for all, partnering for urban development projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

WATER FOR WATER (WfW)
Luzern, Switzerland

Droople and Wasser für Wasser announce the partnership for access to drinking water. To support projects aiming to secure clean water supply and sanitation in Zambia and Mozambique, Droople donates 5 CHF from every device sold in Switzerland as well as in the above countries. Droople devices will be used to measure the benefits generated by the partners’ commitment to reduce their single-use plastic bottled water consumption. The pilot project aims at creating a dashboard showcasing the real-time sustainable impact. It will run for up to 6 months starting early 2022 to test the concept with partner companies.

WfW Founded in 2012

WfW is now counting on the support of more than 600 partnerships. Companies, schools and institutions are using WfW carafes to contribute to the long-term improvement of the water, sanitation and hygiene situation (WASH) in the poorest neighborhoods of urban areas in Sub-Saharan Africa. To date, 4 out of 10 people living in that area have no access to clean drinking water, mainly due to the insufficient infrastructure and distribution, lack of know-how and investment.

Together with local partner organisations, WfW efforts already contributed to the construction of over 20.5 kilometres of pipelines and 43 water kiosks, helping over 75,000 people to access clean drinking water. More than 500 students have completed vocational training in the water sector.
